FRP grating is a molded or pultruded composite panel for platforms, walkways, trench covers and stair treads where steel would corrode. It is lightweight, non-conductive and needs no painting, giving decades of service in chemical, marine and wastewater environments.

Greenlogy TEC supplies molded grating in square and rectangular mesh and pultruded grating in high-load profiles, with polyester, vinyl ester and phenolic resin systems. New to FRP? Start with the molded vs pultruded comparison and the specification guide, then send us your panel sizes for a quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FRP grating?

FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) grating is a composite panel made from glass fibers and resin, molded or pultruded into an open mesh. It is used where steel grating would rust: platforms, walkways, trench covers and stair treads in chemical, marine, wastewater and food plants.

Molded vs pultruded FRP grating - which should I choose?

Molded grating has a square or rectangular mesh with equal strength in both directions, ideal for walkways and platforms. Pultruded grating carries load in one direction and gives higher stiffness for long spans and heavy loads such as vehicle traffic. Our comparison guide walks through both.

How do I choose mesh size and thickness?

Mesh size depends on the smallest object that must not fall through, typically 38x38 mm for foot traffic and 19x19 mm where small tools are used. Thickness (25, 30, 38 or 50 mm) follows from the load table for your span and load. Send us span, load and environment and we recommend a panel.

Is FRP grating slip resistant?

Yes. The grit surface provides a slip-resistant walking surface even when wet or oily, and is commonly used for stair treads, ramps and walkways. Anti-slip options are covered in our anti-slip guide.

Can FRP grating be cut on site?

Yes. Molded and pultruded panels are cut with a common circular saw or grinder with an abrasive or diamond blade, and cut edges are sealed with resin to close the fibers. We can also pre-cut and pre-drill panels to your drawing before shipping.

How do I get a quote?

Send your panel size, mesh, thickness, resin type, color and quantity through the contact page or by email, and we reply with price, lead time and shipping options. Custom colors, cut-to-size panels and stainless or FRP fasteners are available.
