Resin System Selection and Configuration Guidelines
Selecting the appropriate resin system for a specific application requires consideration of the media type, concentration and temperature, as well as the required fire rating and structural load requirements. Greenlogy TEC resin systems are available in multiple configurations to match the performance needs of different molded grating products.
- Choose a resin matrix with appropriate corrosion resistance based on the type and concentration of chemicals contacted, to extend grating service life in corrosive environments.
- For applications requiring fire performance, select a resin system with an ASTM E84 flame spread rating of 25 or less.
- For applications with higher hygiene requirements, choose a resin configuration tested to inhibit bacterial growth on the surface of the composite product.
- Determine the combination of resin type and surface treatment to meet load and slip resistance requirements for the specific installation environment.
