Pultruded FRP grating is made using pultruded "I"-shaped and "T"-shaped profiles as load-bearing bars and solid tubes or rods as connecting rods, assembled by a specific process into grating with gaps left between the bars on the panel surface.

Service Environment
- Pultruded FRP grating with I-shaped load-bearing bars and tubular or rod-shaped connecting rods is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, and its moisture resistance, salt spray resistance and weather resistance are better than those of untreated steel.
- Its corrosion resistance makes it suitable for areas with strong chemical corrosion such as electroplating and pickling lines, wastewater treatment and pulp and paper mills, where steel grating would corrode.
- The selected resin systems (OFR, IFR, VEFR and phenolic MP-5 grade) support use in damp, wet and fire-sensitive locations; the phenolic type has low toxicity and high flame retardancy, making it suitable for fire-critical applications.
