Operating Environment
- LM Wire Rope GB 6x37 FC is a general engineering wire rope suited to both indoor plant installations and outdoor service, where the bright or galvanized surface treatment is selected according to the atmosphere.
- With its fiber core and 6x37 strand construction, it is used in crane, sling and general engineering duty where the rope bends over sheaves and drums and must remain flexible in service.
- For humid, marine or chemically aggressive surroundings, the galvanized option is normally specified to resist corrosion of the steel wires; the fiber core should not be relied on where sustained high temperature or direct chemical attack is present.
- As with any wire rope, service life depends on the actual working environment, so buyers should confirm the surface treatment and core type against their site conditions before ordering.
