Operating Environment
- As a galvanized or bright 1x19 steel wire rope, this product is suited to both indoor and outdoor service; the galvanized surface treatment is the usual choice where the rope is exposed to weather or moisture.
- Typical uses such as guy wires, fencing wire rope, fixed guy wires, garage door wire rope and tag hanging ropes place the rope in general outdoor and workshop atmospheres, where humidity and intermittent wetting are expected.
- Because 1x19 is a strand construction with low elongation and high breaking load for its small diameter, it is commonly selected for tensioned static duties rather than for running over sheaves, so the environment it sees should be free of repeated flexing around small drums.
