6x19 sealed wire rope is available with FC (fiber core) and IWRC (independent wire rope core), offering excellent breaking load characteristics and a wide range of applications. For applications requiring higher abrasion resistance, 6x19 sealed wire rope is more suitable than other 6x19 wire ropes.

General Engineering Wire Rope

Operating Environment
- The GB6x19 (9/9/1) IWRC construction, with its independent wire rope core, suits outdoor and indoor duty where the rope is exposed to weather and repeated bending, such as drilling line, crane rope and luffing rope.
- Because the 6x19 sealed rope resists abrasion better than other 6x19 wire ropes, it is used in dusty, gritty or continuously rubbing service, including sand line, core line and swabbing line in oilfield work.
- Choose the bright finish for dry indoor hoisting such as elevator hoisting rope and slings, or the galvanized finish where atmospheric moisture and mild outdoor exposure must be withstood.
- Trawl fishing and ocean sweeping place the rope in a marine atmosphere; confirm the correct surface treatment with us before ordering for such service.
